Bali, an island famous for its natural beauty and culture, is also known as a place that upholds religious tolerance. Amidst the diversity of religions and cultures, the Balinese people always show an attitude of tolerance and respect for differences. This is clearly seen in the Easter celebration held by the Christian community in Bali.
Easter Together with the Resurrection of Christ
On April 20, 2025, the Winners in Christ Community together with Rev. I Wyn Sumitra,S.Th (Sinar HGC) be held an Easter celebration together at Fave Hotel Sunset Road in Bali. This celebration started at 15:00-16:30 WITA and be an opportunity for Christians in Bali to gather and celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
New Hope in Life
This Easter celebration is also an opportunity for Christians to reflect on themselves and seek new hope in life. As written in 1 Peter 1:3, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." The resurrection of Christ brings new hope for Christians, namely the hope of eternal life and salvation.
The celebration of Easter in Bali also shows the high religious tolerance on this island. Balinese people from various religions and cultural backgrounds can live side by side and respect differences. This is an example for other regions in Indonesia to emulate the religious tolerance that exists in Bali.
The celebration of Easter with the resurrection of Christ in Bali is an opportunity for Christians to celebrate the resurrection of Christ and seek new hope in life.
