K1-Taekwondo Kyorugi System: Reviving the Combative Spirit of Jidokwan
Bali.4.10.2025~The "K1-Taekwondo Kyorugi System" is a competitive framework developed by a group of Jidokwan Grand Masters with the mission to "restore the traditional combative essence of Jidokwan Taekwondo". It is not merely a sport format—it is a cultural and philosophical movement aimed at reclaiming Taekwondo’s original identity as a martial art.
Connection to Jidokwan
World K1-Taekwondo is strategically designed to grow alongside the global revitalization of Jidokwan. Although formal Jidokwan structures are still being established, the founders chose to launch K1-Taekwondo first, while simultaneously building the foundation of Jidokwan through seminars, promotion tests, and Dan certifications.
Core Objectives
- To reintroduce the "authentic fighting spirit" of Taekwondo, which has been diluted by sportification.
- To position K1-Taekwondo as the "competitive face of Jidokwan" on the international stage.
- To emphasize explosive, aggressive, and effective techniques over passive point-scoring strategies.
