1st Pan Asia Conference of Dermatology 2025 in conjunction with 20th Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology in Bali
Bali ,10.7.2025.Tourism in Bali, which is now increasingly improving, has given rise to various international events that attract public attention. This is a trending topic in the world of health, dermatology as a basic lifestyle need for various generations.Taking place for 3 days, July 10-13, 2025 with the theme 'Empowering the Leading Role of Dermatology, Venereology, and Aesthetic Specialists in Enhancing Skin Health from Asia to the World', this conference highlights the important role of Asian dermatologists in advancing skin health at the global level, while also addressing the latest challenges in the medical world.
The Chair of the Organizing Committee for the XX PERDOSKI Denpasar PIT and the 1st PAN ASIA, Dr. dr. Ketut Kwartantaya Winaya, Sp.D.V.E., Subsp. O.B.K., FINSDV, FAADV, stated that the XX PERDOSKI 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting (PIT) and the 1st PAN Asia Conference of Dermatology are invaluable opportunities, not only for updating scientific knowledge and clinical practice, but also for strengthening networks and collaborations between countries in a spirit of togetherness and progress.
Amidst the rapid flow of information and changing lifestyles, the role of DVE (Dermatology, Venerology, and Aesthetics) doctors is increasingly strategic, not only as service providers but also as trusted sources of information, educators, and pioneers of social change in the field of skin and venereal health.
He believes that Asia holds great potential in terms of case diversity, unique skin characteristics, and unique local cultures. Through this forum, he encouraged specialists from Asia to learn from each other, strengthen each other, and emerge as leaders in global dermatology practice and science.
"DVE specialists are not only required to be clinically skilled, but also to be able to drive public education, advocate for skin health, and contribute to the development of service standards and medical innovations relevant to challenges in Asia and the world," he explained at the press conference.
This major event featured various scientific symposiums over three days, clinical workshops, FINSDV and FAADV awards, community service at SLB Negeri 1 Badung, and Cultural Night at Garuda Wisnu Kencana.
Topics discussed included laser technology and energy-based devices tailored to Asian skin types, innovative biological therapies and small molecules for chronic skin diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, and the latest research on the skin and hair microbiome.
"We hope participants will leave with new knowledge, a rekindled collaborative spirit, and strengthened professional bonds," he said.
The Chairperson of Perdoski, Dr. dr. Hanny Nilasari, Sp.D.V.E. Subsp. Ven., FINSDV, FAADV, echoed this sentiment. PIT XX PERDOSKI 2025 felt particularly special as it took place concurrently with the 1st PAN Asia Conference of Dermatology and was attended by more than 2,000 participants from various countries.
Hanny Nilasari expressed gratitude for hosting this meeting, which was not only national, but also regional and international.
For her, the agenda, themed "Empowering the Leading Role of Dermatology, Venereology, and Aesthetic Specialists in Enhancing Skin Health From Asia to the World," reflected her commitment to empowering DVE specialists in Indonesia not only domestically but also actively contributing to the global dermatology stage.
"This event features a scientific symposium, clinical workshops, knowledge exchange, and, of course, a space for international professional networking. But more than that, we want to ensure that the values of family, collaboration, and shared progress are at the heart of the entire series of activities," she said.
PERDOSKI's next step is preparing to bid to host the 2031 World Congress of Dermatology (WCD). She believes Indonesia is capable of hosting a global dermatology congress.""This is our big dream, and we believe that with the support of all our colleagues in Asia and around the world, Indonesia can present a world dermatology congress to be proud of," he said.
The conference also highlighted often-overlooked social issues, such as the stigma surrounding vitiligo and leprosy, as well as the importance of sexual health education for adolescents. A special session on emerging infectious diseases addressed the risks of new infectious diseases and neglected tropical diseases, which remain challenges in Asia.
Furthermore, a practical workshop at Udayana University Hospital provided hands-on training for doctors, covering everything from surgical techniques to the use of cutting-edge equipment.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. dr. M. Yulianto Listiawan, Sp.D.V.E., Subsp. O.B.K., FINSDV, FAADV, President of the Asian Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AADV), expressed his joy at participating in this extraordinary forum. He viewed PIT XX and the 1st PAN Asia Conference of Dermatology as important milestones in the history of Asian dermatology.
He expressed his appreciation for PERDOSKI's consistent organization of international-scale events and welcomed the inauguration of FAADV at this event, recognizing its contributions to the field of dermatology.
